DMCA and Copyright Policy

1. Our role
Tamil Streams ("we", "us") offers live streaming, restreaming and content delivery technology. We give our customers ("Publishers") a platform to publish and distribute their own streams. We do not own or control any channel, we do not create or edit the content Publishers stream, and we do not review streams before they go live.
2. Publishers are responsible for their content
Publishers must own, or hold written permission to distribute, everything they stream or restream, including the right to carry it over our network and to the audience they serve. Publishers alone are responsible for the copyright, licensing and legality of their content, and they agree to this in our Terms of Service.
3. Reporting suspected infringement
If you believe that a link, stream or other resource served from our servers uses your intellectual property without your permission, please contact us at dmca@tamilstreams.in. To help us act quickly, include:
- Your name, organisation (if any), postal address, phone number and email address.
- A description of the copyrighted work or other intellectual property you say is being infringed, and proof that you own it or act for the owner.
- The exact URL(s) or stream address(es) on our servers that you want us to look at, with enough detail for us to find them.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the owner, its agent or the law.
- A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorised to act on the owner's behalf.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
4. What we do when we receive a valid notice
- We review the notice and, if it is complete, inform the Publisher responsible for the stream and pass on your details so you and they can resolve the matter.
- We stop the service from our end for the reported stream, by disabling the channel or the link, while the complaint is looked into.
- We may suspend or terminate the Publisher's account, in particular after repeated complaints. Publishers who repeatedly infringe are removed from our platform.
- We may share the notice with the Publisher and with authorities where the law requires.
5. Counter-notice
If a Publisher believes a stream was disabled by mistake or misidentification, they may send us a written counter-notice at dmca@tamilstreams.in with their contact details, the address of the affected stream, a statement that they have a good-faith belief the content is authorised, and their signature. We will forward it to the person who complained. Unless that person tells us within 10 business days that they have started legal action, we may restore the stream.
6. False reports
Knowingly sending a false or misleading notice can lead to legal liability. If you are not sure whether something infringes your rights, consider speaking to a lawyer before you send a notice.
7. Applicable law
We respond to notices in line with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. ยง512) principles and applicable Indian law, including the Copyright Act, 1957 and the Information Technology Act, 2000. This page is a general statement of our process and is not legal advice.
